They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.  (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God

    Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods.  In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully.  If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock.  Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it.  Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God.  That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt.  Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction.  Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you.  He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors.  "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him."  (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword.  Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes.  Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes.  For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off.  The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows.  They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children.  (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT)

If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him.  Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you.  You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.  And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst.  (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

This is what the Lord of  hosts has to say: 'I will punish what Amalek did to Israel when he barred his way as he was coming up from Egypt.  Go, now, attack Amalek, and deal with him and all that he has under the ban.  Do not spare him, but kill men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and asses.'   (1 Samuel 15:2-3 NAB)

  (Moses) stood at the entrance to the camp and shouted, "All of you who are on the LORD's side, come over here and join me." And all the Levites came.  He told them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Strap on your swords! Go back and forth from one end of the camp to the other, killing even your brothers, friends, and neighbors."  The Levites obeyed Moses, and about three thousand people died that day.  Then Moses told the Levites, "Today you have been ordained for the service of the LORD, for you obeyed him even though it meant killing your own sons and brothers. Questions

If god is all powerful, why did he need to make Adam from dirt?  Why didn't he just make him?


Why did god need to make Eve from Adam's rib?  Why didn't he just make her?

Why did god need to have the world wide flood and cause horrible terrible suffering deaths for millions of children, women and men?  Why didn't he just make them vanish and start all over again?

Why do people have to pray for protection and healing?  Why doesn't he just give it, like normal loving parents do?  (and why do accidents and disease still happen even after prayers?)

Why are abortions bad, but god allows stillbirths, SIDS, and natural abortions to happen?  And why did he himself murder millions of babies and pregnant women in the bible?...and why did he order his people to murder thousands of babies and pregnant women in the bible?

Why is god's ego so big that he orders us to sing praises to him and worship him?  Normal loving parents would be reviled if they did that.

No definitive hard evidence could exist that would prove the bible god's existence.  If a being, claiming it was god, came before me and did amazing miracles, I would know that this could be an alien, or some other entity that is lying to me.  And God would know that he couldn't prove himself.  So why does he demand that we believe in him, or suffer for all eternity??   Why did he give me the intelligence to decide that there isn't any evidence for his existence and still want to punish me?  (I'm not rejecting him...I don't believe he is real.)

If god knows all things past and future, then there can be no free will.  If he knew that I would be an atheist before he made me, then he went ahead and made me...why would he punish me?  Why didn't he just not make me?  That doesn't seem fair and just.

If I were a teacher and a group of 5 children did not quiet down after I had told them 3 times...and so I murdered the whole school with a machete, would you think that was fair?  No?  So why does god allow immeasurable amounts of pain and suffering over thousands and thousands of years to billions of good, innocent people?

Do stillborn, aborted or SIDS babies go to hell because they didn't accept jesus?  If so, does that seem fair? 
If they go to heaven, then aren't abortions doing them a favor?  (Besides doing a favor to the raped teen mother.)   And where in the bible does it give the definitive answer on this basic question?

Why is "thou shalt not sexually abuse the weak, innocent and unwilling" not one of the ten commandments?

Why is jealousy a trait that is bad for humans, but ok for god?  He literally admits he is a jealous god.  What kind of all-knowing, wise god gets jealous???

If the message of Jesus was so important, why have billions not heard it since his time 2000 years ago?  Especially during his time, there would have been millions of people who were totally clueless about his existence.  Seems unfair to send those people to hell.

Why do christians who suffer a horrible accident but live, thank god that he saved them?  So god saved them...from god??  He's in control of everything right?  Then didn't he allow the accident to happen in the first place??   Shouldn't you be cursing god for putting you through that horrible accident?

In the old testament, god himself murders millions of people, but he also orders his people to brutally murder thousands of people.men..women...children...even the livestock..I mean there is awful, disgusting, horrible stuff in those scriptures...and it's not just one or two little incidents...it goes on ...and on...and on...murder murder murder...all ordered by an angry, easily jealous god.  Why.....WHY, is this ok with christians?  Why do they worship this evil, immature, megalomaniac???
